Letting go is the skill.

Underneath every spiritual tradition, every lineage, and every technique—it's always been about one thing. Letting go. Letting go of the idea of success you were sold. Of who you were told to be. Of what you were taught to want. Of control over the outcome.

That's it. That's the work.

Why is letting go so damn hard?!

Because the mind has a thousand reasons not to. Consider the letting go of something as simple as a pencil. "I can't let go of it—it was my grandmother's; it's been with me my whole career; I won't know who am without it."

The mind moves fast—by the time you notice the clinging, you'll already be three thoughts deep into another excuse as to why you can't relax and let be.

You need a slower doorway.

The body is the doorway.

You can't see a thought, but you can see your shoulders rising toward your ears. You can't smell a belief, but you can feel your jaw clenching. The body moves at a speed the mind can actually catch up to. This is why every serious tradition starts with the body. Sitting. Stretching. Holding postures. Regulating the breath. The body is slow enough, visible enough, and trainable enough to reveal to the mind what it's been holding. But the older traditions went further than most modern bodywork goes today.
